The Ashery Country Store comes from a long line of heritage in the area. The community has used the land the store sits on for many years, from the original asheries in the area to the cheese factory that once stood there. Owner Curt Yoder grew up surrounded by the area’s history and learned the value of running a business through his dad, Cecil. The Yoder family honors the area’s traditions and has kept the business focused on serving the community by offering handmade and local products.
Where Is the Ashery Country Store Located, and When Can I Go?
The Ashery Country Store is located between Mount Hope, one of the largest auction centers in the county, Mrs. Yoder’s restaurant, and the town of Kidron. After visiting the Ashery, stop in Kidron and explore the small shops like Lehman’s Hardware Store. These stops are the perfect way to spend an afternoon exploring Amish country! You’ll be surprised what charming stores and sights you’ll see!
