Enjoy Spring Nature Weekend At Ohio B&B
Spring is coming and that means a chance for you to get outside and explore the area. Join us April 28-30, 2017 for our White Oak Inn Nature Weekend. This popular event is tailor-made for birders, wild mushroom lovers, and all those who enjoy a little walk in the woods.
The two-night package includes accommodations for two, dinner on Friday and Saturday, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Specific activities depend on the weather conditions and the interests of our guests, but a few of the popular options include owl-calling in the evenings and bird-watching in the early morning. We also have a local bald-eagle expert who will set up a spotting scope on one of the eagle nests nearby. At this time of the year, the eggs have usually hatched and we can watch the parents feeding their eaglets.
Should you choose, you can go on nature hikes where we will identify wildflower species and scout for wild edibles, such as morels. If you’re lucky enough to find any, we’ll cook them as an appetizer for Saturday’s dinner! Guests will also have an opportunity for artifact hunting, flint knapping, calling wild turkeys, and more.
Then after a day outside, return to the Inn and enjoy relaxing in the Great Room before sitting down to a delicious gourmet meal.
The Spring Nature Weekend and room package starts at $558 per couple and will vary depending upon the room chosen. These weekends are always popular, so call soon to book your stay.
Spring will be here before you know it!
