Coblentz Chocolates A Sweet Stop In Ohio’s Amish Country
Warning: if you are a chocoholic, be prepared to swoon when you walk in the door of Coblenz Chocolate Company. The Walnut Creek, Ohio, store is a creamy, dreamy, dark, and light delight, and a delicious place to shop.
The family owned and operated business began in 1987 with three employees and 40 varieties of chocolate. Today the bustling company employs many more and churns out 114 varieties of chocolates. Even though the business has grown, it has still stayed true to its quality. Coblenz Chocolates are still made the old-fashioned way, using fresh ingredients and no shortcuts. Chocolates are hand-dipped; truffles are hand-rolled. And they’re all super yummy!
Step into the store and you’ll discover an old-timey candy shop, its counters filled with meltaways, clusters, barks, truffles, and a tempting selection that includes milk, dark, and white chocolate with fillings of caramel, peanut butter, mint, cordials, and more. Wander over to the viewing gallery and you can watch the candies being made. Then comes the hard part: deciding which to choose.
Coblenz Chocolates are sold individually and in 8-ounce and 2-pound brown signature boxes. In addition to chocolates, the shop sells a variety of hard candies, hand-crafted sugar-free chocolates, gourmet popcorn, and nuts.
