Our very talented assistant Jenny wrote this lovely piece describing how she feels about the natural beauty we are lucky enough to see out our windows every day. Thanks Jenny!
When fall first arrived this year, it was warm and brilliant. The days were beautiful, and we couldn’t help but enjoy what felt like a (not humid!) extension of the summer. Then the days began to shorten, the nights had a little chill, and the leaves began to change.
We had a heavy frost last night. It doesn’t seem to matter what time of year it is in central Ohio, every season has it’s own beauty.
The frost edges the leaves on the ground, the chilly fog hangs over the mosaic hills, the deer, turkeys, and birds are more active, and the sunrises and sunsets are as close to a watercolor painting as you can get.
It’s nice here, where we have such different seasons. Where we can experience each individual time of year, see its beauty, and know that something different is always around the corner.
