Mount Vernon, Ohio’s Harvest at the Woodward

The beautifully preserved Woodward Opera House is a mainstay in the downtown historic district of Mount Vernon, Ohio. No longer used for staging operas, it is now taking on a new, multi-faceted life. The second floor is being completely restored as a theater, while the first floor has been turned into retail space. It is here that you will find Harvest at the Woodward.

The Harvest at the Woodward was created to help support mom-and-pop local businesses in the area. Open year-round, it is an extensive market selling foods and products that are sourced locally from here in Knox County and the surrounding counties. All of the foods are naturally raised, naturally grown, and non-GMO. We love shopping here, and many of the meals you’ll enjoy at While Oak Inn will begin with the fresh ingredients we find at the Harvest.

Bring a large bag to the Harvest at the Woodward—you’ll need it for all the dizzying array of goodies you’ll find. Among the offerings are baked goods, cheeses, poultry and meats, fresh eggs, fruits and vegetables, honey and maple products, jams and pickles, dairy items, dips and salsas. There are also vendors selling non-food items, such as plants and flowers, stationery, and wonderful clothing items. Check the website for a complete listing of individual vendors and products, as well as some great recipes.
