About the Festival
Each year, the Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival in Roscoe Village offers three days of family fun and entertainment. It all began in 1969 when Jo Cullison, a local Coshocton woman, saw the need for a “down home” festival that capitalized on Ohio’s beautiful autumn weather. Today, it is a much anticipated and beloved fall tradition. If you have yet to attend, then it’s time to get your churn on this October at the festival’s annual celebration! Here’s what you can look forward to this year.
Activities & Entertainment
Take a trip to the festival and you will be greeted by the sweet scent of homemade apple butter cooking over a wood fire kettle. Bluegrass music plays in the background as vendors line the streets with a variety of hand crafted goods, showcasing Ohio’s local talent. Take your time to sample the sweetness of hand stirred apple butter and other homemade goodies! You won’t find butter like this anywhere else in the world!
In addition to comforting tunes of bluegrass music, visitors can also look forward to a variety of performances. Remember to take advantage of the Living History Tours during your visit! During this tour, you will have an amazing opportunity to wander and explore the restored living history buildings of Roscoe Village.
