3 Places for Amish Country’s Best Beer and Wine

1. Millersburg Brewing Company

Millersburg Brewing Company is a hub for craft beer in Ohio. This brewery in Millersburg, Ohio, is about a 35-minute drive from The White Oak Inn, which makes it a great destination for an afternoon of exploring Danville’s neighboring towns!  

The taproom is open Tuesday through Sunday. Swing by during Millersburg Brewing’s hours of operation to taste permanent and seasonal brews. Our favorite summer selection is Peach, Love, and Rock ‘n Roll. Each batch of this sour is brewed with three gallons of peach juice for a light, refreshing flavor. Be sure to browse what’s on tap before you visit! 

2. Stein Brewing Company 

Stein Brewing Company is another great place for beer in Amish Country. This local brewery is located on the first floor of the Woodward Opera House in downtown Mount Vernon. Grab a beer at Stein Brewing Company, then head upstairs for live entertainment. It’s a great date night destination!  

The taproom features a rotating selection of Ohio-made beers. Choose from more than 20 beers on tap at any given time! One of the most popular brews is the Temperance Crusader, which is brewed with locally sourced maple syrup. Stein Brewing Company also serves finger foods like nachos and burgers 

3. Wooly Pig Farm Brewery

Head to Wooly Pig Farm Brewery for adorable animals and delicious beer! This Amish Country brewery is about 39 miles from The White Oak Inn, but it’s worth the drive. Wooly Pig Farm Brewery boasts a diverse selection of beers on tap, as well as bottles you can purchase to take home. The tasting room offers spectacular views of the expansive farm and its pigs! It’s a unique experience you can’t find anywhere else.  

Bring a Growler Back to The White Oak Inn 

Come back to The White Oak Inn after visiting the best places for beer in Amish Country, Ohio. Our B&B boasts a variety of tranquil lodging options. Guests can choose from intimate guest rooms in the Main Inn or Guest House or tucked-away Log Cabins.  

Consider a stay in the Willow Room. This room, located in the Guest House, boasts a queen-size bed, private bathroom with tub and shower, Franklin Stove-style fireplace, and an individual air conditioner. This beautiful room also features fanciful finishes like a cathedral ceiling and oak beams. Guests are welcome to relax on the Guest House’s patio with rocking chairs.
