This exciting, weekend-long event begins on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. Gather in downtown Mount Vernon on this night for Santa’s tree lighting ceremony followed by Lights & Carols. Here, local musicians will belt out Christmas tunes that are sure to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy.

From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, enjoy a variety of Christmas-themed events that are fun for everyone! Kids of all ages can enjoy, photo opts with Santa all day while Mrs. Claus hosts a cookie decorating and letter writing workshop! Adults can enjoy live music, or stroll along the streets of downtown reveling in elaborate Christmas-themed window displays.

Join us on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, for the last day of the Mount Vernon Christmas Festival for the iconic parade. All parade floats will follow this year’s theme “Christmas in the Movies.” This bookend event begins at 2:30 p.m. on South Main Street.
