Your Complete Guide to Baltic Mill Winery
Taste Locally Infused Flavors
For an authentic taste of Amish Country, you have to try the signature Sweet Blackberry Wine. Its smooth, tart, and undeniable blackberry flavor is what makes this varietal Dan and Judy’s most popular. For a refreshing taste of an Ohio summer, sample the Just Peachy Chardonnay. Purchase a bottle to take home as a reminder of the light, airy season that matches the flavor of this decadent wine.
Just as well as they make wine, Dan and Judy also provide great hors d’oeuvres. Pair your selections with a meat and cheese plate that enhances the flavors in your glass, or opt for a hummus and vegetable spread garnished with sweet red pepper relish. If you’d rather indulge in a full meal, feel free to pack your own picnic or grab a dinner basket from our inn’s kitchen!
Baltic Mill Winery has humble beginnings. The original structure started as a flour mill. The next owners maintained the early 20th-century mill machinery even after turning it into a local bulk food and gift shop. After viewing the historical three-floor building, Dan and Judy knew it would be the perfect setting to start their wine-making journey. With Dan’s background in microbiology and Judy’s drive for success, they are now creating their own legacy in the rustic building.
Thoughtfully Restored Architecture
While walking through the winery, you can see the dedication Dan and Judy put into maintaining the integrity of the historic building. The walls and ceilings are stripped to showcase the craftsmanship of the timber and large beams. Refurbished milling machinery sits as a focal point of the winery, making apparent the purpose it once served.
