Enjoy a Few of Our Favorite Roscoe Village Events
Summer: Corvettes at Roscoe Village Car Show
Take a June visit to attend the annual Corvettes at Roscoe Village Car Show. At this event, over 200 pristine, vintage cars line up for viewing. Admission costs $10.00, and all proceeds are used to buy equipment for those who are handicapped. Purchase your ticket, attend the event that runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and marvel at these masterpieces!
Fall: The Annual Apple Butter Stirrin’
The Annual Apple Butter Stirrin’ is one of the most anticipated events and traditions in Roscoe Village. At this three-day festival, you’ll enjoy watching the creation of homemade apple butter and taking in the sweet, aromatic scent of the delicious treat. Then, sample a few varieties to discover the best of them all, and purchase a jar to take home! All the while, Bluegrass music plays softly in the background along with other musical acts throughout the afternoon. Admission is only $5.00 to attend this event, and it runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
Winter: Christmas Candlelighting Ceremony
The Christmas Candlelighting Ceremony is another much-anticipated event in Roscoe Village. Spend the afternoon sampling holiday cookies and even greet Santa! Then, as night approaches, gather around the 30-foot tree and watch as each patron lights their candle one by one while singing Silent Night. When everyone’s candle is lit, the lights of the tree are turned on as the big finale! Then, you can enjoy a bonfire over a glass of cool cider. This event truly embodies the Christmas spirit!
Spring: Horse-Drawn Canal Boat Tours
Horse-Drawn Canal Boat Tours return in the spring. A path runs parallel to the canal, where the horses are able to pull the large boat along. Take your seat and settle in while your knowledgable guide describes the tales of 1800s captains who traversed the still waters. History and nature lovers alike will enjoy this peaceful outing! They’ll also appreciate the Living History Tours that take place right by the canal, in which a costumed guide takes you through some of Roscoe Village’s most historic buildings.
Celebrate at the White Oak Inn
If you’re excited to attend these Roscoe Village events, you’ll love the White Oak Inn’s very own festival! Visit us in September for Oakstock, where we set up a fun cookout in the afternoon, and later, a bonfire in the evening. We have plenty of accommodations to host you in for this weekend celebration. Consider booking the Oak Room, which contains a plush, queen-size bed and multiple windows to let in the beautiful, natural light. Reserve your room and come to visit!
